Manchester music veteran Peter Hook has opened new rock and roll music venue FAC251: The Factory. Built on the original site of the legendary Factory Records, and featuring a re-design by Ben Kelly (the architect behind the Hacienda nightclub), Hook couldn't be staying truer to his 'Madchester' heritage.
However, Hook is clear that he wants to create something new and exciting from the ashes of the 'old skool', stating: "The idea is to put on a good old fashioned venue, where music is the key, and give them (bands) a chance to grow".
Hook has cited Marple's Delphic as an example of the new Manchester sound, a sound that he is passionate about making heard.
