A number of bands from the North West have been invited to play at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
SXSW takes place from 12 - 21 March and showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over eighty stages.
Facing fierce competition from all parts of the world, the North West of England is clearly holding its own, boasting some of the hottest international acts invited to perform at SXSW.
Confirmed North West acts include: The Lovely Eggs, Everything Everything, Soft Toy Emergency, Wave Machine, Autechre, Hurts, Kristyna Myles, MRK1, Rose Elinor Dougall, Spokes, Ten Bears, and Failsafe.
In addition, Vision+Media and Sound City are pleased to announce that Ten Bears, Wave Machine and The Lovely Eggs are all confirmed to appear on the Sound City stage. More bands to be confirmed.
