Within the North West film industry a shortage of skilled and trained producers has been identified and acknowledged. Schemes such as Vision+Media’s Digital Shorts and Greenshoots have provided aspiring producers with a level experience and competency, but the lack of film work and industry in the region previously has meant it has not been possible for emerging producers to elevate and progress their skills practically and creatively through on-the-job training.
Producers are integral to the film industry as a whole and are key to creating a substainable film industry within the North West. Vision+Media is looking to address and bridge this current skills and knowledge gap, by recruiting an experienced industry producer to design and deliver a scheme (PRODUCED BY) which is aimed at emerging producers who have a project but need guidance in development, finance, and the production of feature films.
