While construction continues at the main MediaCityUK site, a fledgling creative community has already set down roots next door.
Opened in 2007, The Pie Factory is a thriving production base housing three large sound stages. As you may have guessed, the building’s former life involved making pastry rather than TV, but its huge internal spaces are an ideal canvas for set designers and lighting crews. So much so, that The Pie Factory has become an increasingly popular location for shooting everything from feature films to sofa commercials.
As well as offering studio space, The Pie Factory is also home to the following ‘on the lot’ companies offering services such as kit hire, casting and design.
Once the new-build element of MediaCityUK is complete, The Pie Factory will become a key part of the site, offering extra choice for both studio customers and businesses.
