Berlin Co-Production Meetings

Over 20 international experts over 4 days during the 2010 Berlin Film Festival, hosted by leading media law firm Olswang + opportunities to meet potential co-producers at evening networking drinks.

Timetable

Day 1 - 12 February - Focus on Germany, UK, Scandinavia and Benelux
Day 2 - 13 February - Focus on France, Spain, Italy, Eastern Europe
Day 3 - 14 February - Focus on US
Day 4 - 15 February - Focus on Australia, Brazil and Canada

At the end of each day all delegates are invited to a networking drink

Format

Sessions will run from 12.30 - 17.30 with a networking drink from 18.00 - 19.00. All sessions will be held at Olswang, Potsdamerplatz, close to the festival centre. You can sign up for all 4 days or just choose a single day to attend.

Experts from territories / states will advise on how productions are put together in their territory in a part lecture and part Q & A forum. There will be over 20 independent experts present, including:

Jeno Hodi - CinePartners Entertainment (Hungary)

Angelika Schouler - Glamm Media Invest (France)

The sessions are for producers and filmmakers who want to learn more about co-production possibilities and who want to meet potential co-producers from other territories.

Background

Initialize has organised co-production meetings at Berlin FF in 2008 and 2009 and at Toronto FF in 2009. Many participants have gone on to get finance and sign deal as a result of our programmes.
