Cumbria Film Office

The Cumbria Film Office was established in 2006, after Vision and Media realised the fantastic filming potential across the region needed the skill and direction of a Film Liaison Officer to help it grow.

With the appointment of Alan Saywell as the sub-region’s first Film Liaison Officer, filming and production inquiries have certainly increased.

“Although there’s been a steady number of productions over the last few years, Cumbria really made its mark in 2006 when Miss Potter filmed here,” says Alan. “We’re currently making a big play for the Indian market too, as Bollywood just loves our fantastic scenery,” he adds.

“The Cumbria Film Office is here to make it easy for production companies to shoot in a diverse range of environments with dedicated personalised services and operational support to minimise your uncertainties throughout the shooting process.”
