Digital Mission Series to the USA 2009/2010

DigitalMissions are a series of trade missions organised by Chinwag and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
The missions support UK digital companies to expand internationally, understand foreign markets, attract investment, find partners and develop business relationships.
Three exciting missions are planned to the United States for Autumn 2009 and Spring 2010. Confirmed missions are:
• Digital Mission to LA & San Francisco, Oct ‘09
• Digital Misison to New York, Nov ‘09
• Digital Mission to South by South West interactive (SXSWi), Mar ‘10
Each Digital Mission has a range of activities planned with UKTI’s network of consulates, sector experts and local contacts.
Typically, organized events will include a masterclass session on the nuts and bolts of doing business in the US, targeted networking, marketing support, meetings with local partners and lots more.
Digital Mission companies are also encouraged to participate in the local digital scene.
The application criteria will vary slightly from mission to mission but the missions are generally open to any UK-based SME operating in the digital sector. Companies are selected by the Digital Mission advisory board, which comprises of experts from across the digital industry along with UKTI sector specialists.
Application process
Applications for the Digital Missions to LA & San Francisco and New York will open in July, with entries accepted from September for SXSWi 2010.
