Northern
Exposure an online database showcasing over
3,000 freelance crew, facilities and production
companies based right across the North of England: from
Sunderland to Sheffield; from Blackpool to Bridlington.
It is hoped that Northern
Exposure will highlight the scope of
freelance crew and other resources available in the North to
feature film, TV and other projects both nationally and
internationally, as well as providing increased employment support
to the North’s dynamic and mobile freelance workforce.

Sir Ian McKellan (actor), Paul Abbott (TV writer), Peter Kay
(comedian and writer), Frank Cottrell Boyce (film writer), Danny
Boyle (film director), Michael Winterbottom (film director) are
just a few of the established TV/film names to launch their careers
in the Northwest. And we’re confident our Crew Database
contains many more ‘names’ of the future.
Everyone registered on our Northern Exposure can compete for the
accolade to be named Vision and Media’s Crew and Facility of
the Month, entitling them to the full support of our communications
department, with regional and even national publicity, raising your
profile and hoping attracting even more offers of work.
