Filmed in Cumbria

Cumbria only opened its Film Office one year ago, but already many productions have shot there, including Miss Potter which was filmed in The Lakes in 2006, and succeeded in putting the Cumbria Film Office firmly on the filmmakers’ map.

Shot for 4 days from 30th October – 2nd November 2007 in and around Conniston

Mr Bhatti on Chutti
Tulip Films shot their ‘Bollywood’ film for 21 days from 8th -28th September 2007 at various locations around Cumbria.

Miss Potter
Hopping Mad Productions: Shot for 12 days from 19th April – 2nd May 2006 at various locations around Cumbria.

Housewife 49
Starring Victoria Wood, this filming for three days between 17th – 19th August 2006 at various locations in Barrow in Furness.

Mobile
ITV: Starring John Thompson (Cold Feet) this three-part drama filmed on 2nd and 3rd October 2006 at Moss Force.
COMMERCIALS

AA Commercial
Wanted Films: saw the advert using 350 local extras, 50 local technicians and two local policemen when it shot around the Wast Water area for two days in January 2006. The commercial was broadcast nationally in March 2006.

Virgin Trains
Shot their new commercial in Cumbria on 15th and 16th July 2006.

Ministry of Sound Chill Out Sessions
Fold 7: Shot around Windermere in January 2006. Screened in March 2006.

We Never Went To Church
Ridley Scott Associates: Using scenic shots on 35mm black and white film around Brantwood, Coniston, Tarn Hows, Hawkshead and Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, The Streets Music Video was shot in March 2006.

Red Onion Productions: This promo was produced on behalf of the Cumbrian Tourist Board in May 2006.

Bargain Hunt
BBC: Shot for two days in January 2006 in the Cumbrian Antiques Centre, Brampton, on Derwent Water and Rheged. Screening in May 2006.

Driving Mum and Dad Mad
ITV: A reality TV programme shot for two days in May 2006 at Parkfoot Camp Site, Ullswater.

Tiger Aspects: This music programme for Channel 4 shot for one day in May 2006 at Thrilmere and made The Lakes look like Austria!

Shot for two days in May 2006 in Ambleside and Carlisle for a Japanese travel programme.

Pioneer Films: One programme of a series for Channel Four about the British Weather. They filmed for three days from 20th – 22nd December 2005 mainly in Carlisle.

They Should Be Dead
Pioneer Films: For Sky One, a programme about a paragliding accident in Keswick. Shot in February 2006 in Keswick.

Lemon Ace: An independent short shot at Abbey FM radio station in Barrow-in-Furness in November 2006.

A Vision and Media-funded short shot in Ulverston for one day on 20th December 2006.

Internal promo film shot in March 2006 using scenic views of Wast Water, Coniston and the surrounding area.

Feet in Clouds
British Film Council: This funded pilot for a feature film staring Christopher Eccleston shot in Mosdale and Langstrath during March 2006. If Kate Sinclair the producer can get funding a full-length feature film of this Fell Running
story will be shot in the Cumbria.

Culture in Action
A corporate video for Carlisle County Council shot for three days in May 2006. The video was to celebrate the cultural aspects of Cumbria over the last five years and was screen on 20th June at Rheged, Cumbria.

Shot for two days in May 2006 at Greystoke Estate and Silloth Beach.
