We Love Freelancers!

Northwest Vision and Media are making it easier than ever for freelancers to get ahead in 2008. Through the Skillset TV Freelance Fund, we are hosting a new range of heavily discounted skills development events in February and March.

For those resolving to update their CV, get to grips with new technology, or simply to figure out which direction is best for their career, these events could be the perfect springboard.

Project Manager Lynn Kelly is delighted to be offering this opportunity.

She says: “We're hoping these events will help freelancers develop their careers. For people who have been working in the television industry for more than 12 months, the fund provides the best opportunity to refresh skills and kickstart your career.”

For freelancers looking to master new technology, two day courses in both Final Cut Pro for AVID Editors (28th – 29th February) and the Z1 Camera for Researchers and Assistant Producers (17th – 18th March) are also happening in Manchester.

Lynn Kelly expects to see a rush to book places in the next week.

“With costs starting at £18, these opportunities are a great way to start 2008!” says Lynn. “Places do need to be booked in advance, so get your reservation in quick. For those that don’t get a place, we are also looking to schedule more courses for the near future, to make sure everyone can benefit.”
