Publications Fund 2008/09 is Launched!
Please note that the Publications Fund 2008/09 has been launched. This is a £100,000 UKFC fund to support print and on-line publications predominantly aimed at the film industry. The Fund aims to encourage debate about issues which challenge the perception of film and the film industry by broadening readership, increasing editorial range and support innovative platforms for film-related publications.

Royal archive film from the BFI seen online by over 1.4 million since Christmas
Following the launch of The Royal Channel on YouTube two days before Christmas, visitors have been flooding online to see historical moving image footage of the Royal Family from the BFI National Archive. YouTube is one of many online tools being used by the BFI to make the films it cares for in the national collection more accessible to the public. Save Kids' TV
Save Kids' TV is a coalition of parents, producers, artists, educators and others concerned about screen-based media for children in the UK. They are allied to organisations representing the media industry, the audience and cultural groups in a campaign to persuade the Government to acknowledge the value of children's television, and protect it in the face of growing financial pressures.
