What would you say were the best bits about the Northern Routes Training Scheme and your placement?
Where to start! Working with some really great talented professionals, every day spent doing something different and challenging. Also being assigned a mentor on the scheme was extremely worthwhile and useful.

Would you recommend Northern Routes to other potential trainees (please give reasons)?:
Northern Routes can help you achieve your media dreams and the support you receive can be reassuring when starting out in the industry.

Please explain what you have gone on to do following Northern Routes:
I haven’t really stopped working! It’s funny how quick your name gets passed round. I have completed days on Shameless, a historical drama 1066, an advert and I’m just about to start on a new ITV drama.

What do you hope to do in the future and how has Northern Routes helped you in working towards this goal?
I hope to develop the skills I have learnt on this scheme. Build on the experiences I have had and hopefully continue to be busy and successful. Northern Routes has helped boost my confidence and I believe now I can become (eventually) a fine Location Manager. I’m also keen to develop my own ideas for scripts and factual programmes.
