Free Tickets for Lawrence of Arabia Gala Screening

Northwest Vision and Media have teamed up with the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival and The British Academy of Film and Television Arts to celebrate the centenary of David Lean’s birth, one of the academy’s founding members, with an introduction to the screening of his seminal award winning film. Egyptian actor Omar Sharif gained international stardom from the film, which he considers to be one of his greatest.

The Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival is pleased to announce that eminent author and media critic Dr Jack Shaheen is to return to Liverpool to speak at this Gala Screening of Lawrence of Arabia.

This gala screening will take place on Tuesday 22nd July at 6:30pm, at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, accompanied by an introduction to the film, with a guest speaker to be announced.

This screening is part of BAFTA Goes to the Arab World….on tour at Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival (July 14-27) which features an impressive selection of films from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq and Algeria.

The Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival film programme at FACT and Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is produced in partnership with the Bluecoat, FACT, Picturehouse at FACT, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Mona Deeley of Zenith Foundation and in association with BAFTA.
