Mandata Contracts secure Transport Partner Deal with Red Vision

Specialist TV and film courier company Mandata Contracts have been turning heads with their unusual animated van passengers – namely Dame Judi Dench and Dame Helen Mirren.

Mandata Contracts, based in Manchester, are the transport partner of choice for BAFTA award winning TV and film production company Red Vision. Already couriers for clients including the BBC and ITV Granada, Mandata deliver items such as props, costumes, cameras and tapes 24 hours a day.

Creators of ITV’s new Sunday night animation comedy Headcases, in which Dame Helen and Dame Judi star, Red Vision have been careful to select a reliable courier to ensure their tight delivery schedule is adhered to. Red Vision’s Head of Production Fiona York says: “Once filming is completed in Manchester we’re under a great deal of pressure to deliver the tape to ITV or our post-production company both based in London as quickly and securely as possible. We’re confident that once the tape is collected by Mandata it’s in safe hands."

Mandata Contracts have been in the specialist TV and film courier business for 35 years and pride themselves on giving all their customers 100% cost effective reliable service. Phil Lines, Sales Director, says: “We’re delighted to be the transport partner for Red Vision and many other film TV companies throughout the UK. Although safe delivery of their TV material is absolutely essential to Red Vision this is what we do for all our customers. Adding Red Vision as yet another valued customer underscores the importance of the Film / TV business in Manchester, with the advent of MediaCity in Salford Quays these are exciting times for all concerned."

Headcases, airing now, is in the spirit of ITV classic Spitting Image, but has been updated for the 21st century with the use of computer-generated graphic images rather than modelled puppets.
