Media Freelance Fund

Northwest Vision and Media has developed both a bespoke and strategic approach to assisting the professional development of the region’s freelance workforce. This initiative offers a range of solutions for freelancers in the TV, games, radio and digital industries:

· Bespoke training

· One-to-one guidance eg. Media Career Doctor, 60 Minute CV Makeover

· Vision and Media Technical Workshops eg. Z1 Camera, Intro To FCP, FCP for AVID Editors

Vision and Media will subsidise all of the above by 70% up to the value of £1000 (including VAT)


Eligibility

Priority 1: New Technologies
Eg. HD, archiving, editing, flash, broadcast engineering, software engineering, CGI

Priority 2: Multi Skilling for Freelances
Eg. Moving across genre, moving across sectors, multi skilling within job role

Priority 3: Cross Platform Technologies
Eg. Creating content for different platforms such as mobile, web etc, managing new media projects

Priority 4: Media Markets
Eg. Consumer/audience insight, audience behaviour, new trends, new platforms, new commissioning deals
