Media Funding for TV, Film and Interactive Projects

MEDIA is a support programme of the European Union to strengthen the competitiveness of the European film, TV and new media industries.

MEDIA offers a non-refundable grant for feature film, TV drama, documentary, animation and interactive projects.

With funding of up to €17 million for Development and €2 million for the development of Interactive Projects under the current Call for Proposals. There is also Production Funding available for eligible Broadcast TV projects.

To help Northwest companies access these funds, Northwest Vision and Media has invited Agnieszka Moody and Hatice Özdemirciler from MEDIA desk UK to outline the current Call for Proposals and the application process.

Previous beneficiaries of MEDIA funding include Brook Lapping Productions, The Foundation, Tiger Aspect, Kindle Entertainment, Impossible Pictures, Rebellion Developments, Sixteen Films and Fuse Games.

If you have a project which is eligible for the current Call for Proposals, a limited number of one to one sessions will be available to advise you how to make an application.

Please specify when registering on Eventbrite if you would like to book a one to one slot. These will be held between 2pm and 5pm on the 23rd October and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
