You may search the on-line library by:

Categories
North West Vision's Location's database uses basic term 'categories' identified by industry professionals as widely used when searching for locations. By simply clicking on the categories you will be taken into a list of locations that best fit this description.

Alphabetical Index
The Alphabetical Index is a user friendly method to help you to identify categories. You can also examine the categories directly; either way you will be taken to the relevant page with sample shots of locations.

The images on the category page are thumbnails; one shot of each location, which is considered to be representative. For further details on the location, as well as further images, simply click on the thumbnail.

Where appropriate, there will be images from the same location appearing in different sections of the locations library (i.e. the bedroom may appear in the bedrooms category or the kitchen in the kitchens category. If you need a bedroom and a kitchen, click on either thumbnail to view all the images for that location).

Keywords Search Engine
The Keywords Search Engine allows you to enter 'keywords' that best fit the description of the location you are looking for.

If you enter more than one keyword, you should select between any or all keywords. For example searching for living rooms or bedrooms will bring up a different list to searching for living rooms and bedrooms

  • If you've set all keywords, and you don't get any matches, try changing to any keyword.
  • If you've set any keywords, and get too many matches, try changing to all keywords.

Additionally, the keywords will include qualities, so you might search for wooden floor, panelled, tiled, etc.

Finally, each location is given a unique prefix number, which corresponds to the area of England's Northwest that the location is based. These are as follows;

FR = Cheshire
MA = Greater Manchester
PR = Lancashire
LI = Liverpool/Merseyside

Filming at the Location
Please contact the appropriate Film Office, by telephone or e-mail (contact details below), to discuss your location requirements. Once we have established your enquiry and received the appropriate details, we will establish the availability of your chosen locations and if appropriate, set up a recce.
