What would you say were the best bits about the Northern Routes Training Scheme and your placement?
I loved every minute of the training scheme and don’t particularly have ‘best bits’ as I loved it all. It was such a fantastic and valuable learning experience for me and I would love to do it all over again!

Would you recommend Northern Routes to other potential trainees (please give reasons)?
Yes…. I would definitely recommend it to other trainees as I think they would learn so much, it would give them more confidence and a greater insight into their job role and the overall production.

Please explain what you have gone on to do following Northern Routes:
Since Northern Routes I was offered a job on a Peter Kay drama but unfortunately I broke my arm. I have completed various training days which will be extremely helpful in the future.

What do you hope to do in the future and how has Northern Routes helped you in working towards this goal?
I hope to continue being a trainee a little longer and work towards becoming a successful make-up artist then designer. Northern Routes has helped me to do this by giving me the fantastic opportunity of being on the placement which has helped me to get contacts. It has given me confidence in the work I do and to pursue other jobs, it has helped me with additional training and given me constant help and advice.

A fantastic and valuable experience and an absolute must for any potential trainees!!!
