North West Vision and the UK Film Council would like to say thank you to all those who supported film during the Government's National Lottery consultation earlier this year.
The sector did a terrific job in speaking up for film, the result being that Lottery cash for film has been safeguarded over the next 10 years. In addition, next year an extra £3 million a year will be transferred from Arts Council England to the UK Film Council to be ploughed back into film activity.
Film received a bigger endorsement than any other good cause with 8,000 responses supporting Lottery funding for film.
So thank you once again and a quick apology for bombarding you with emails throughout January and February but in the end it was well worthwhile.
