Northern Routes Scheme Seeks New TV Talent

**The deadline for applications has now passed**

ARE you looking for a career path into the highly competitive television industry? The Northern Routes scheme is a brand new initiative across the North of England, seeking talented individuals who are looking for the opportunity to make their mark in the world of television production.

Getting to work with award winning documentary makers, drama, comedy, news and entertainment programme makers is not always that easy, but over the coming months the Northern Routes scheme is set to place twenty two trainees behind the scenes on television productions across the north.

Northern Routes is a partnership between the three northern regional screen agencies; Northwest Vision and Media, Northern Film and Media and Screen Yorkshire and supported by the Skillset TV Freelance Fund.

The scheme is open to applicants aged 18 and over across the North East, North West and Yorkshire, who have a minimum of three months relevant industry experience through either paid or voluntary work. Participants will attend a series of workshops, prior to a 12-week work placement with a production company. They will also receive bespoke training based on individual needs, one to one mentor support and a training allowance of £300 per week.
