The
afternoon
of
television
nostalgia
is
taking
place
at
Watershed,
Bristol,
(3.30pm
start)
to
mark
the
50th
anniversary
of
Oliver
Postgate’s
entry
into
stop-motion
and
the
birth
of
Smallfilms,
the
animation
company
he
founded
with
Peter
Firmin.
Award-winning
animator
Barry
Purves
will
be
among
those
contributing
to an
affectionate
and
light-hearted
look
back
at
Oliver
Postgate’s
career
and
creations,
with
the
help
of
film
clips
and
anecdotes
from
the
audience.
