Set amongst Manchester's legal community, New Street Law is back for a second series. Starring John Hannah, John Thomson and Lisa Faulkner the drama follows the exploits and cases of two rival barristers' chambers with very different attitudes to justice. Filmed with assistance from North West Vision's Film Offices.

Life on Mars (Kudos for BBC One)
The International Emmy Award winning series, Life on Mars is back for a final series with John Simm returning as DI Sam Tyler, the time travelling detective who, after a car accident, found himself in 1973. Filmed across the Northwest in Manchester, Stockport, Preston, Bury and Bolton, the production was asssited by North West Vision's Greeater Manchester and Lancahsire Film Offices.

Waterloo Road (Shed Productions for BBC One)
A new term begins at Waterloo road; a school riddled with failing results, staff shortages, bullying and truancy. Filmed in Rochdale with asssitance from the Greater Manchester Film Office, the second series sees Jack Rimmer's role as headteacher come under threat by Roger Aspinall who wants to build a state of the art City Academy in return for a seat on the governing body.

Shameless Series Four (Channel 4)
Manchester's infamous Chatsworth estate is back on the small screen for 2007, with all the scandal and drama that viewers have come to expect from the critically acclaimed series, Shameless. Filmed on location across Greater Manchester and with assistance from North West Vision's Manchester film office, the fourth series of Shameless continues to follow the lives of the Gallaghers, possibly the UK's most dysfunctional family.

Grundy's Northern Pride (Working Wonders for ITV)
Thought buildings were boring? John Grundy, a passionate enthusiast for the northern way of life, will spend nine weeks convincing viewers about the beauty and diversity of northern architecture. Championing buildings in Liverpool, Lancashire and Greater Manchester, the shoot received assistance from North West Vision's Film Offices. John explains that the programme is "a celebration of the buildings and the towns and villages, the built environment you might say if you were a bit poncey, of northern England."

Living with two people you like individually but not as a couple (Channel K for BBC Three)
Channel K who have been supported by North West Visions Regional Attraction Fund (RAF) airs its first commission on BBC Three (February 12th). The new comedy, entertainment and factual entertainment television production company is based in Manchester.

The Innocence Project (Tightrope North for BBC1)
A major new eight-part drama series following a group of ambitious law students at the fictional East Manchester University. Fimed entirely on location in Salford, the shoot received assitance from North West Vision's Greater Manchester Film Offices. The programme stars Lloyd Owen (soon to appear in the feature film 'Miss Potter', which shot in Cumbria's Lake District) as champion of the underdog, Professor Jon Ford. Goldplated (Channel 4)
Set in the ‘golden triangle’ of Wilmslow, Prestbury and Alderley Edge, Goldplated lifts the lid on a world of conspicuous consumption in which wealth – or at least the appearance of it is everything. Written and created by Jimmy Gardner and produced by World productions, filming of the series was assisted by North West Vision's Cheshire and Warrington Film Offices. Every Wednesday at 10pm on Channel 4 with following weeks advanced screening at 11pm on E4.

I'm With Stupid (BBC)

The Outsiders (Mersey TV / Campus Manor Production on ITV1)
Starring EastEnders alumnus Nigel Harman in the lead role, this one-off special follows Nathan Hyde, a genius code-cracker who previously used his skills to break into the Bank of England vaults - but walked away with just £20,000, leaving millions behind.
Now living under an assumed identity, his former boss Gabriel (Brian Cox, The Bourne Supremacy) tracks him down for one last mission.
With the help of North West Vision's Liverpool film office, the drama was shot predominantly in Meseyside which doubles for glamorous locations such as Malta, Barcelona, Paris and Rome. Keep an eye out for the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Thurstaston Beach in the Wirral, St Georges Hall, The Foresight Centre and Victoria Tower as well as many other of the regions gems.
