'Silence is Golden' wins the TCM Classic Shorts Award

The prestigious TCM Classic Shorts Award was presented to Slinky Pictures' 'Silence is Golden' at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 1st November.

Liverpool born Chris Shepard, Director of the film, collected the award alongside Producer Maria Manton and the film's main star Conor Morris. The presentation was made by Imelda Stanton and Andrew Collins at the National Film Theatre as part of the 50th London Film Festival.

The short film which received a £5,000 Lottery Short Film Completion Award from North West Vision has screened at over 20 International film festivals this year including the 25FPS International Film Festival, Zagrebeg where it won the Audience Award.

Chris is no stranger to this level of success, having already gained BAFTA nominations for two previous projects. His 2003 Short, 'Dad's Dead' (another project carried out with his Slinky Pictures partner, Maria) won over 20 international awards including Best Short at the British Independent Film Awards.
