Writing and Pitching for TV
Date: 13 July 2009
Time: 10am - 4.30pm
Venue: Waterside Arts Centre, M33 7ZF
Ric Michael, (ex head of development at Baby Cow TV, now a
freelance TV and radio producer) leads a workshop for aspiring
writers and writing partnerships in a hot-house session on pitching
your work for television production. This is an intensive one-day
session that will show you how to write your proposal, how to pitch
it and how to shape your project for success.
Places are limited on this workshop which is open to both amateur
and professional writers - the only criteria for taking part is
that you need to be serious about writing for TV, whether in the
comedy, drama or documentary fields.
Ric is joined by Jayne Brierley, an experienced producer who has
created many shows for the BBC, Sky, Granada and Channel 4.
When booking, please leave your name and email address. These
workshops are highly focused and you will need to prepare an A4
treatment of your proposal in advance of this workshop. Places are
limited so the event is being run again to accommodate
demand.
Cost: £25 / £15. Call 0161 912 5616 to
book.
