X-Factor finalist stars in Northwest film

X-FACTOR FINALIST HAS FULL SUPPORT OF FILM MAKER

NORTHWEST film-maker, Aubrey Reynolds, is tipping finalist Raymond Quinn to win this year’s X-Factor competition after working with him on Bulletproof, a short film funded by North West Vision, the film, TV and digital media agency for England’s Northwest.

Raymond is currently preparing for next week’s grand finale of the X-Factor on ITV1, after weeks of vigorous competition, and coming under the constant scrutiny of Simon Cowell and fellow judges, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. Aubrey, however, thinks Raymond has what it takes to win.

“Having worked with this guy, I know how determined and truly professional he is,” says Aubrey. “I think Raymond deserves to win, but even if he doesn’t, I know he’ll do really well out of this. He’s had more than twelve weeks of prime-time ITV appearances, so he’s already had a fantastic time.”

As writer and director, Aubrey spotted Ray’s potential when he cast him to appear in the North West Vision Short Film Bulletproof, a story about adolescence, comic books and superhero powers.

Speaking of Ray’s multiple talents, Aubrey said: “Ray is such a likeable performer, he’s a really good singer, but he also excels in drama and is an extremely talented actor. I would encourage him to ride the wave.”

North West Vision assists filmmakers across the region by providing funding opportunities throughout the year. Bulletproof was financed by NWV and is doing particularly well, especially since Ray’s first class performance on the X-Factor.

“Ray’s appearance in Bulletproof has definitely helped the film, we’ve been streaming it on YouTube and its getting hundreds of hits, simply because his name is mentioned,” adds Aubrey.
