Short Cuts is returning in 2012 and is the UK’s freshest film festival dedicated to the screening of short films only. It is run by filmmakers, for filmmakers and is now accepting submissions. Any genre, any budget and under 20 minutes.
The main venue for the festival will be the National Film & Television School, in Beaconfield. So if you want to see your short on the big screen, submit your entry before the deadline of 6th January 2012.
Submission Eligibility
- The festival welcomes film submissions of any British film, from filmmakers who live in the United Kingdom
- You may submit short films of all production techniques and genre including drama, documentary, comedy, music, animation and experimental films. Exploitation and pornography genres are not eligible
- The primary contact completing the application form must be authorised to submit the film for consideration including permission from a distributor or sales agent representing the film and must have obtained necessary permission for the inclusion of copyrighted music and/or images within the films
- Films must have been completed after the 1st January 2009
- The maximum duration of films is 20 minutes including credits
- Films that were entered into previous Short Cuts festivals are not eligible
