Fusion Web Development Company Profile

Fusion Web Development (FWD) is a Chorley based company with expertise and experience in providing websites to companies, government organisations and schools.

FWD prides itself in providing a friendly efficient service and has concentrated on the core skills of web development. This has led to the company forging strong working relationships with design agencies and marketing organisations who have delivered most of our business.

Fusion Web Development is a professional and experienced web development agency based in the North West of England. We are committed to developing innovative solutions. We pride ourselves on the ability to consistently deliver exciting, dynamic, creative solutions on-time and on budget. Our portfolio of over 150 websites include working on projects for local small businesses all the way through to government organisations. We’re proud that we have customers who come back to us again and again and believe this is due to our commitment to translate customer expectations into tangible commercial outcomes.

Our business ethos is about working closely with clients, listening carefully and understanding their objectives. We pay great attention to detail and use our extensive experience to explore and develop the expectations and ideas of our clients.

What are the benefits of not being 'Inner City'?

Based in Chorley, our premises are close to the major North West motorways so we’re easily accessible. The major benefits have to be that we don’t have to navigate through heavy traffic jams to get to work and we don’t have the expensive rent and rates of Inner City properties.

Where do you see your business in the next 2 years?

We’re really excited about the work we’ve been doing on App development and believe that in 2 years time this will be our main product. This change will be driven by the growth of mobile device use for example Apple’s iPhone and Blackberry devices. Using the Content Management System that has already been developed by FWD, Fusion Apps will provide App owners with the ability to change and edit the content of their Apps. This will be extended and developed further so that users will be able to build their own App using the Fusion App template.

What do you see as the biggest disruptor that may affect your business?

Fusion is only as good as our development skills so the biggest disruptor would be losing any of our 4 developers. We specialise in programming in Cold Fusion and this has allowed us to differentiate ourselves but obviously the skills we have in Apps development is even more important.

What single 'thing' could improve your business?

Like most small business we have to manage our cashflow so the easy answer would be money. In reality though we need help to continue to develop our products and also bring them to market. Especially we would like to work with experts in the Education sector, so that we can be confident that our products will fit the needs of schools.

Do you see MediaCity Uk making an impact on your business?

We can’t see this directly impacting on Fusion but any major investment in the area has to be good for everyone.
