What it Means to be another Northern Lights Trainee

Our second blog from a former Northern Lights trainee is from Tom Kinniburgh, who explains how the programme taught him new skills and helped to further his own career.

How Northern Lights helped me: The course put me in contact with Chillingo directly and made me think about gaming as a serious industry (before I went on the course I had honestly never considered games I only played them!).  I still keep in contact with other people I worked with and some of my teachers as all contacts are invaluable!

Where I am now:  Following my placement, I am still working at Chillingo and have been promoted to an associate producer, meaning I have more responsibility and can produce and publish my own game projects with little to no intervention now. One of my games, 'Helsing's Fire', which I managed from start to finish, is just starting to top into the charts.
