About the North West

Liverpool and Manchester are the region's biggest cities with an established and confident media sector, five-star hotels and two international airports. Greater Manchester is also home to MediaCityUK.
Boasting England’s largest National Park -- the world-famous Lake District with England’s highest peak and longest lake, is perhaps the region's most well-known location, offering outstanding scenic beauty.
Travel infrastructure
The North West has well-established transport links in, out, and across the region. There are two international airports: Manchester and Liverpool-John Lennon; local and mainline trains; and city metro networks in Liverpool and Manchester.

Climate
The North West enjoys a seasonal British climate; spring begins in March, with the hottest summer months falling in July, August and September. Our winters are usually not severe, and filming takes place across every season.

Registering Your Property As A Potential Film Location
As of 1 October 2011, Vision+Media's responsibility to manage the North West locations database transferred to the new organisation, Creative England. Registrations are now being managed by Creative England and in the short term you can still register your property via the link below and we will keep you updated with planned changed scheduled for the new year.
