A newly revised edition of the BBC Editorial Guidelines has been published within the past month and came into effect on 18th October. The Guidelines set out the standards required of all content made for the BBC, both for in-house departments and independent production companies.
To help programme makers get to grips with the new Guidelines, Editorial Policy is staging a number of open sessions explaining the changes at Broadcasting House, Oxford Road, Manchester on Friday 12th November. Independent Production companies are invited to attend.
The sessions will vary according to genre, as follows:
10.00am - 11.00am NEWS
11.00am - 1.00pm COMEDY, ENTERTAINMENT AND CHILDRENS
11.30am - 12.30pm ONLINE
1.00pm - 2.00pm DRAMA
2.30pm - 3.30pm NEWS
4.00pm - 5.00pm FACTUAL
