- What digital products and services will benefit local residents, business and the wider community?
The purpose of this research project is to explore the key trends and future directions of the media and digital sectors within the city region (Manchester, Salford and Trafford). The project is supported by University of Salford Vice-Chancellor research funding.
On the 23rd and 24th August 2011, workshops will be run with media and digital consumers from organisations across the city region and with people from businesses and community groups that provide various media and digital products and services.
To date, a number of different scenarios of what the media and digital future might be like have been created. In the workshops, you will be asked about how you might respond to these alternative and possible futures.
There are four workshops to choose from; two workshops with an industry/business focus, and two workshops with a community focus.

- Workshop 1 (industry): 10am – 12pm
- Workshop 2 (community): 1pm – 3pm
Wednesday 24th August 2011
- Workshop 3 (community): 10am – 12pm
- Workshop 4 (industry): 1pm – 3pm
