Liverpool based games developer Onteca will release its much anticipated WiiWare™ title, ‘Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs. Robots’ this month, which was supported by Vision+Media via the Regional Attraction Fund (RAF).
The monster-packed 3D strategy-puzzler will be available on WiiWare in North America from August 16 2010 and Europe from August 20 2010 for 500 Wii Points™.
Vision+Media, support agency for the digital and creative industry in the North West, invested £50,000 in the project, safe guarding seven jobs at the company and creating an additional eight roles.
Enda Carey Head of Games at Vision+Media said: “Onteca had developed prototypes for monster themed games across the Wii™ platforms and had already secured acceptance from Nintendo, which clearly reflects the high level of creativity and talent in the business. However, to bring the games to market the company required financial support, which we were able to do via the Regional Attraction Fund. We are delighted that the release date has now been confirmed and are confident that Onteca will use this success to drive the business and enjoy continued growth.”
Monsteca Corral will be released through the Wii Shop Channel.
